Procedure for review of the request for granting asylumin Bosnia and Herzegovina

Association Vaša prava Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only non-governmental organisation providing free legal aid to asylum seekers in BiH.

Under the Protocol on Cooperation with the Ministry of Security BiH, VPBiH has been providing free legal aid and information to refugees, asylum seekers, victims of human trafficking, persons under temporary admission and other categories under international protection.

In the procedure reviewing the request for asylum, VPBiH assists in the following: filing a request for granting asylum, registration, interview, exercise of the rights and drafting submissions and lawsuits.

Since the BH is passing through the phase of transition from the socialistic to the market economy the possibility of discrimination and corruption in the field of work and employment is greater. When the changes in the structure of ownership, illegal and non transparent privatization is added it is clear that employees every day face great difficulties in protection and achievement of their labor relations rights.  

The following analysis provides more detailed overview of legal solutions as well as identified problems of beneficiaries of Vaša prava BiH. The analysis points out problems and includes proposals for possible solutions for overcoming those problems.  

Problems Related to Mandatory Contributions and Their Payment

Among critical problems in this area, the analysis points out that the authorised organs, although required by law, hardly do anything to encourage more employers to pay the insurance contributions.  VP BiH has put forward its position recommending that the state-level law may lead to a more serious approach to dealing with this problem.
