The legal reform has been one of the most important and the greatest challenge for Bosnia and Herzegovina over the years past Thereat, increasing the awareness on rights both the state institutions as well as the public is of the crucial importance. Implementation of the „Free Legal Aid and Information“ project will enable citizen of BiH to understand their rights guaranteed by law. The project is supported from the funds of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe.
Prevention of statelessness and obtaining
personal documentation for vulnerable Roma (01.01.2008.-31.12.2008)

The objective of the project is to offer free
legal and informative aid to Roma without citizenship and persons without valid
citizenship documents. VPBiH will undertake different actions in order to reduce
statelessness by registering persons in the Birth Registry, including also
subsequent registrations.
Free legal aid for returnees, refugees and
asylum seekers in
BiH (01.01.2008-31.12.2008)

The Project includes all forms of informative and legal
assistance from responses to quick queries to comprehensive advice and
representation before human rights institutions. Informative component of the
Project includes continued informative campaign aimed at raising citizens’
awareness on the rights and obligations and is implemented through informative
sessions, media presentations and design and distribution of different printed
informative material.
Promoting Anti-Discrimination Laws and
Practice in BiH
(2007-2008)

The specific objective of
the project is to raise the awareness in BiH, both at
the national and community levels, about the importance of adopting and implementing
anti-discrimination legislation and policies and to promote European approaches
to anti-discrimination legislation and implementation. The project will be implemented in partnership with the Public Interest Law Initiative
(PILI).
