The British Embassy in Sarajevo supported the project: “Towards transparent policy development and delivery of justice in BiH”

The British Embassy in Sarajevo has supported the project  of the Association Vasa prava BiH:  “Towards transparent policy development and delivery of justice in BiH”.  The project focuses on reform of the justice sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and improvement of its independence, efficiency and respect of fundamental human rights.

The Project will assist in strengthening the ties between the citizens and authorities, and thus, step by step, in improvement of the work of the institutions and help create climate of transparency and openness.  By helping to build the accountable and efficient institutions, Vasa prava BiH wishes to demonstrate to people that institutional dialogue and change are possible and give them all the more reason to demand political changes that will lead to free, transparent, accountable and equal society.

The grant by the Embassy of Great Britain will allow Vasa prava BiH to engage in creating the sustainable justice sector in BiH, based on principles of rule of law, institutional strength and engaged civil society.

„We are grateful to the Embassy of Great Britain on its continued and generous support, that will enable us to continue the efforts towards the establishment of comprehensive system of legal aid in BiH, creation of more efficient and open justice sector and help the citizens of BiH and their institutions in meeting the preconditions for further EU integrations”,  said Emir Prcanović , the Executive Director of Association Vasa prava BiH
